My point has been made clear enough I think.ĮA is a WAY for companies to take advantage of the gaming community by serving up half *** content with false promises to get cash fast. I tried to agree with your points and clarify mine but I don't think that is what you are looking for. Actually, if you can't see what I was suggesting then I don't think there is any point to us continuing our conversation as I feel that this is one sided.tell me if Im wrong but it seems like you are just looking for something to pick apart and spit back at me because you want to "defend EA games" like the other guy here. I completely understand that it takes a long time to code a game also, never said I didn't. Trust me man, I've played all types for a long time. There was no internet and Nintendo Power Magazine just sucked unless you wanted cheat codes. I remember standing at the local video store trying to pick between 100 different NES games judging only by the cover art because there was no other way to know if it would suck or not. And yes, cash grabs and trash have been around for a very long time. I was just saying thats why there are so many. Coding a game is extremely complex and time consuming work and it simply cannot be done in a short amount of time. Early Access was not the beginning of that and it will not be the end of it. They will continue to be made in the future. Cash grabs were made long before Early Access. Then don't buy the games you feel are trash. If we continue to buy trash, thats what we will be served. The option is being abused, and in turn the standards are being lowered. No offense but I think that there are simply more and more developers seeing it as a way to garner quick cash off the community with no reprecussions if they take 4 years to get into beta, or downsize their department to 1 person coding, etc. I understand that the EA program has been used correctly by a few companies that deserve mention. So no actually, we have not only gotten cash grabs from Early Access. Maybe but we also got 2 great games off of Early Access and at least 1 that I know of will come out soon (Grim Dawn). Początkowo opublikowane przez supertrooper225: Early access is just a quick money making strategy for companies these days.įorget about it / make up some reason why developing has been discontinued. I'm so sick and tired of these half ♥♥♥♥♥ games that have been knocked up in 6 months, charge £15 for them and let them sit in Alpha for 2+ years. I wished a proper game company with the resources decided to make a real survival game. I know it's easy for me to say but honestly if I was a game developer I would create such a fantastic game with zombie AI that is actually "realistic" how you see it in walking dead etc. The game should have missions / objectives that are randomly generated if you enter a town you might hear a cry for help and you can chose to rescue the NPC from a horde of zombies and get some credit or something that can be spent on repairing armour and weapons. vehicles, boats and really realistic cities with skyscrapers and office blocks where you can explore every building. Zombies / monsters, epic base building, diverse terrain, character progression (like an mmo) lots and lots of weapons / gear, stupidly large world, underwater hunting / exploring. I am longing for a survival game that has it all. Why can't a company make a decent fully completed zombie survival game, spend 2 years making it, invest $50million into it and put out a top quality fully working survival game that rests heads and shoulders above the others? Have you ever noticed that every single survival game is always released as early access?
